Founded in April of 1999 as Amicus Legal Funding, LLC, the company changed its name to LawFunds, LLC in February of 2001 to better represent the company's broadening scope of services and its role as an investor in, not a broker of, legal recovery assets.
Through direct applications and applicant referrals programs, with many of the nation's leading non-recourse brokers, in just its first two years, LawFunds, LLC has underwritten applications for funding in excess of One Hundred Million ($100,000,000.00) Dollars, ranging from requests for Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars up to Twenty Million ($20,000,000.00) Dollars.
